Hi,
i´m currently perparing for my Basis Certifiaction and try to find a really detailed map of the Application Server.
This should include details like the different parts of the WP, ICM Dispatcher as well as their connections to each other. Has someone of you something like that in place.
cheers and thanks in advance
Benjamin
Thanks - I already searched there, but I could only find detailed process description / graphics. What I´m trying to find is a complete overview of all detailed process ans stuff on one technical map.
cheers
Benny

Hi,
I´m already learning this materials (TADM10, TADm12 and so on) but what I´m looking for
is a kind of poster / map or overview that shows the technical design of all NW processes.
As the materials only show parts (like the ICF or the internal WP Design) - I search for a combined overview..
kind regards
Benjamin

I can't understand you , on differrent installations you will have different AS like only ABAP, ABAP+JAVA, only JAVA ...
Example for JAVA
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/41/fc5b42ab8d6255e10000000a155106/frameset.htm
You can find many other technical system landscape's for PI ,KW or other ...
Read on help.sap.com
P.S. the best document is Master GUIDE for NW for you...

TRY to use search.
Regards.
Ok I know that there are different installation / implementation possibilites....
E.g I search a detailed overview Map of AS ABAP (inculding all process detail - WP, ICM Dispatcher etc.)
Addtionally the sam for the AS Java (with JVM, Server, Dispatcher).
It is easier for me to learn with a big chart were very thing is displayed and how it is connected to each other.
Hope that clarified it a lil' bit..
kind regards
Benny
I only asked for a link to a technical overview of the SAP AS. I took all necessary courses and I understand that stuff, but as i said i´m only looking for a chart a poster a picture a graphic.
I opened that thread because I thought I can get some help, links ideas and maybe start some discussion about Technical Overviews - and NOT get criticized about my appoaches to find Information in the Internet.
kind regards
Benjamin

This is the risk of asking questions on public forums.
You don't always get the kind of answers that you would like to get.
Ok, I won't disturb you anymore.
If you are lucky, maybe some one will spoon feed you ?

Olivier
Hi Benny,
I'm not sure if such a map exists. Perhaps you could put one together after reading my paper [Introduction to the SAP Web Application Server|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/e1515a37-0301-0010-b2bb-99780cb4cafa].
If you do, please share it on SDN.
Best Regards,
Matt
Hi,
Search in Help.sap.com. You will find graphics wich explain the architecture of the different processes.

Olivier
