ESS/MSS Fresh Installation with NWDI Control

Hello,

I am installing ESS/MSS Business package with XSS components FRESH (first installation) into a NW 7.0 SP15 system (Dev system). During FIRST time ESS/MSS installation should I select NWDI Control in JSPM while installation?

Also is the NWDI track for ESS/MSS needs to be created before proceeding with a fresh(first time) installation for NWDI Control to take effect. OR is NWDI Control needs to be slected in JSPM during subsequent ESS/MSS SP level upgrade ONLY?

Any suggestions what is the best practise......

Hi Debasish,

The JSPM uses only wehn you upgrade XSS componetns or Java enginge support packs upgrade.

The ESS/MSS components we install via SDM. Once you deployed all your XSS components via SDM, setup a new track example. ESS_TRK17, then add the XSS software components to this new track from the System Landscape Configurator.

Hope this gives an idea to start with XSS components deployment.

Hi Krish,

I suppose we can install the BPs with the XSS components through JSPM for the first install also.
