Hi,
I've used before Virual PC - and I can't add RAM in this app. I have 3GB RAM on my local laptop, when I used Virual PC a max RAM I can fix 1,5GB. More I can't, because VPC can't started.
For me better is VMware - I set 2048MB RAM and then everything is OK.
all process running :).

Hi,
the command is:
dbmcli - u control,: You had to enter a password during the installation
Another possibility to administrate the Database is to install the maxdbtools dbm76.exe and sqlstd76.exe. You find them in the installalation-zip-file.
Then start the MaxDB Database Manager. Add your Database and connect to it with the user control and the password you entered during the installation process. Then you know, whether the database is running and you get to know something about the administration tools of MaxDB.
