Not able to start j2ee server using SAP MMC

Hello friends,

I am facing problem while starting j2ee server using SAP MMC. After starting what I can see is,

status of jcontrol.exe is 'stopped' and also process table is empty.

Hi,

[Thr 1996] JControlExecuteBootstrap: error executing bootstrap node [bootstrap] (rc=66) - this means there's problem executing the bootstrap process which synchronizes binaries from the DB. This usually happens when the DB is not online. So, first make sure if the DB is online before you try to start the server.

In addition, you might also want to see what is the status of the XServer service (in Windows services) - it should be started as well...

I'm having the same problem, so how do I go about making sure that the DB is online? I am not aware of how to do this. Thanks.

Whats your OS and DB ?? If its oracle Go to enterprise manager console and see whether your DB is up

To start DB, do one of the following:

- Go to SAP MMC, and click the blue Cylinder (It should be first bracnk right under your Instance P33) this will open de database tools in the right pane of the MMC. Next click you DB instance icon to bring it on-line.

OR

- Download the SAPDB GUI from SAP and install these tools. The SAPDB GUI gives you more management features than the MMC plug-in, but the start/stop process is the same.
