Dear Experts,

The J2EE visual admin is not opening as well as XI home is also not opening.

The system generates the message while XI home page as

" Dispatcher running but no server connected!".

While opening the visual admin the system generates the message as "return empty list of connection paramet".

So the J2EE server is down.

The log file(i.e. from /usr/sap/<instance>/DVEBMGS00/work")

1.dev_icm

ERROR => Connection request from (-1/65535/0) to host: <localhost>, service: 8000 failed (NIEHOST_UNKNOWN) [icxxconn_mt.c 2738]

IcmJ2EEScheduleFunc: Connection to localhost:8000 failed - please check host configuration (-8) [icxxman_mt.c 2099]

While activating the communication channel object, activation the network connection was disconnected.

After that I am getting the erro.

Can anyone pls help me to solve the problem.

Regards,

Amit Mandal

Have you tried doing a restart of the J2EE from SMICM with a Hard Shutdown (without Restart) followed by a Normal Restart?

Let me understand, you are getting this issue after a network problem, correct?

You made the restart of the cluster as i told, not with a direct Restart from SMICM, correct?

Dear Sergio,

Thanks for your response.

Yes, I am getting the error after the network problem

I made the restart from SMICM>Administration>J2EE Cluster Global>Send Hard Shutdown>without restart.

The result is same.

Pls help.

Hi,

Do as stated below :

In the visual configtool:

(/usr/sap/<SID>/<inst#>/j2ee/configtool/configtool.sh)

click on Instance_ID#, open the "Servers Debug" and uncheck the box labeled "Restricted load balance". Save the changes.

For Server_ID# below, open the "Debug" tab again and check the checkboxes with the same label. You must have at least one server node with an unchecked box. Save the changes.

In order the above changes to take effect, restart the whole cluster.

HTTP and P4 connections should be possible. All the server nodes (in case they are more than one) with "Restricted load balance" checkbox checked, will not receive any requests.

This happens because the restricted load balancing with debug purposes is enabled for the server node and the cluster has only one server node or the restricted load balancing with debug purposes is enabled for all (more than one) server nodes.

Dear Aashish Sinha,

Thanks for your response.

In configtool the Instance_ID# has unchecked "Restricted load balance" and we have one server_id<instance> which has unchecked in debug tab.

Though you told there should be at least one server node with has unchecked box , I initially have checked the box in server_id<instance> and restart the server. But the result is same.

Pls help me to solve the issue.
