I have a Simple Type Exemp which has been created from a model not in local dictionary.
Is it possible to edit enumeration value this simple type Exemp, bcz i am getting 4 enumeration value.
but i want only 2 of them and the option 'delete selected enumeration' is greyed out.
How may i do it?

Hi vikash,
u will not able to edit the simple type in web dynpro .
go to service project, here u will find datatypes --> simple types --> ur simple type and edit it .
Thanks and regards

hi Vikash,
u can edit the Simple type in ur CAF project for ur service.
In ur CAF Project ,there will be a Application service , which u have exposed as web service, just go to ur Project --> Data Types --> Simple Types . here u will find all the available simple types , just edit the simple type and Generate -- Build -->Deploy the Project .
Thanks and regards
hi fazal,
thanks for reply.
i am using nwdi.and create a project from the track now i that project comes into web dynpro perspective.
then in the DC->Dictionaries->Model dictinary(Not Local)->data type->Simple type->exemp->double click on it.
Now when i open it i am not able to edit enumeration value.
i am getting u point regarding services.
can give some more explanation .

Hi Fazal,
thanks for reply.
Below are my points these can give you a better idea about my problem.
1. i am talking about web dynpro application not caf.
2. The drop down values are coming from standard dictionary domain value range so u canot edit standard domain.
Regards.

Hi Fazal,
I mean its related to back end.
In back end there is "data element" and "domain" term related to dictionary.
In domain u specify what will be the data type of the field and length of the field and there is tab value range where u specify what you want in drop down.
But the domain that my field is using is supplied by "SAP".
so at r/3 level you can not edit it.
Regads.
