EWALERT task fails

Former Member

Hi, I'm working in a VAR SAP with Solution Manager SP17.

I'm connecting a customer to Solution Manager and I've checked that:

- addons are correctly updated.

- report RTCCTOOL works fine

- transaction oss1 connects to SAP

- rfc saposs and back works correctly. I've made connection test and authorization test.

I've set the rfc back as the master in transaction sdccn, and when I execute the EarlyWatch Alert for Solution Manager task, it fails.

Checking the task-specific log I have this entries:

11:44:31 > Session rescheduled 0100000001740 0000000064 EWALERT SolMan for 20090204120000 ( attempt 0001 )
11:44:31	Error transferring session data to SM_SMGCLNT010_BACK
11:44:31 > transfer data to mapped session ID 0000001740 010 destination SM_SMGCLNT010_BACK
11:44:30	Transfer of session data started to destination SM_SMGCLNT010_BACK
11:44:30	Data collection completed for session 0100000001740 EWALERT SolMan
11:44:30 > Service definitions empty; no data to collect
11:44:30	Data collection started for session 0100000001740 EWALERT SolMan
11:44:30 > New data collection triggered using reference session TSKR000000014
11:44:30	Session download data requested using task 0000000064 by FUNCIONAL
11:28:25 > Service definitions empty; no data to collect
09:43:25 > Service definitions empty; no data to collect
09:35:25 > Service definitions empty; no data to collect

Please,

Could you help me?

Thanks and Regards,

Tomas.

Hi Tomas,

I'm out of ideas. I can only think it would be an idea to re-set SDCCN on the system:

SDCCN->GoTo->Settings->Task Processor->Change Settings->Deactivate

and then

SDCCN->Utilities->Activate

best regards,

-David.

Hi,

Did you check this SAP Note 762696 - Grey rating for Earlywatch Alert?

Also check:

Hi Sanjai,

Thanks for your reply, but I've also checked that SAP Note and followed all the recomendations shown on those threads and implemented SAP Note 1300023 for ST-PI 2008_1_* and those log errors are still in the task log.

Any other idea?

Thanks and Regards,

Tomas.

Hi Tomas,

I can only think that the ST-PI and ST-A/PI versions are old...can you tell me which ones you have?

best regards,

-David.

Hi David,

Actually both addons are up to dated:

ST-PI: 2008_1_700

ST-A/PI: 01L_ECC600

I've also applied the SAP Note 1300023 for ST-PI.

Any other Idea?

Thanks and Regards,

Tomas.

Hi Tomas,

can you check that the tick box in SDCCN->GoTo->Settings->TaskSpecific->Data Request->Settings->Attributes for data collection->allow approximate session data collection is selected?

best regards,

Hi David,

Thanks for your reply. I've checked the tick box you mentioned and is already activate.

Any other idea?

Thanks and Regards,

Hi Tomas,

I think the important line from the log is

"Service definitions empty; no data to collect"

Please check that the service definitions are present and uptodate on the system. The easiest way to do that is to delete and replace them. Note 727998 explains how to do that.

best regards,

-David.

Hi David,

Thanks for your reply. I've made the changes exposed in SAP Note 727998, and now the task finishes with no errors.

The problem now appears when I execute the job and see the EW Alert. It's rated grey and when I open it I see:

1 Download Problem

We were unable to perform a correct analysis, because function module SYSTEM_INFO is missing from the download data. This may be due to a problem with the data transfer or collection process.

So I've checked the task log again and seen all those errors:
