You mean the engine version? or the java version?...

For the java version just type java -version on the OS command prompt

For the engine version just go to http://<host.fqdn>:port/systeminfo

Hi Juan.

This is a Netweaver 7.1 system. The sysinfo page looks a little different from the Netweaver 7.0 sysinfo page. I know where it is on the Netweaver 7.0 stack.

The alias /systeminfo also does not exist on the new 7.1 stack. It is now /nwa/sysinfo.

I have surfed the whole of the NWA and cannot pick up where the java version (not engine version

) is listed.

Thanks for the reply though.

SAP now has their own VM. When I do the normal java -version it picks up the IBM version...

I eventually found it in the dev_server0 log file - the extract below.

It would be nice if it was somewhere on NWA though.

Thanks for all the help.

Hi,

To check Java version from NWA:

As per my knowledge there is method to check Java version using NWA.

However, you can check the Java version using SLD (if you not having OS level access).

Login into SLD with Admin credentials.

http://<host>:<port>/sld

Then navigate to Administration > Details > Server tab

There you will find an entry "Jav VM Version".

I hope this information will help.

Hi,

The best way to check the java version is goto /usr/sap/<SID>/<instance>/j2ee/cluster .... you will have a instance.properties file here ... check in this file ... you can find the correct java version being used by your java stack.

Leela.

Hi Juan,

I'm checking the engine version with http://<host.fqdn>:port/systeminfo in a SAP NW As Java 7.4 SR1, but the systeminfo web doesn't exist.

Is there another method to know the NW Java version? I know the NW Java version, but I want to know how you can check the engine version in case you don't know it.

Best regards,

Martina
