I am new to floor plan manager , Can you pls tell me
what is the use of Road Map pattern and Context Assistance pattern?
how to create Road map pattern (ROP) and Context Assistance Pattern(CAP).?
how to create perspective and ?
how to create links ?
and why we need these pcui_gp/xssfpm and pcui_gp/xssutils for the FPM development?
and need some more input on BLC,VAC,and xssappconf .?
why they all behave as interfaces(IBLC,IVAC,IXSSAPPCONF,IFPMCONF)?
wat is IVACWindow?
A connection to a DTR containing the FPM resources (SC PCUI_GP) is needed.
This includes the correct setup of a development configuration.
The software component and the development component for the new application must also exist in the DTR.

Hi
ROP is for navigation between the perspectives.CAP is for data transfer between the perspectives.
In Portal we have self administrator role in that we will create FPM applications and FPM views and Navigation links between views also done in this role only.

Hi,
If you have created your own (local) development component, you have to add the development components pcui_gpxssfpm and pcui_gpxssutils to the Used DCs list.
This basically provides you with an FPM framework.
why they all behave as interfaces(IBLC,IVAC,IXSSAPPCONF,IFPMCONF)?
They behave as interfaces so that you can define the methods according to your application requirements.
The interface provides you the with the hook methods and therefore controls the flow of your XSS application
VAC automatically possesses a window named IVACWindow. All the visual parts of your VAC (usually one or more Web Dynpro views) are required to be included in this window. If this is not the case; otherwise they will not be visible.

Hi Veena,
I am working on the same requirement. Could you explain me about the process of adding the development components pcui_gpxssfpm and pcui_gpxssutils to the Used DCs list. Because, I am not able to see these two DCs when I selected "add used DCs" from the context menu of my local development DC.
Please explain in detail about this step. I would appreciate your help.
Regards,
PG.
