Hi hari,
Welcome to the world of XI.
From the little experience i have had in XI, the best way to learn XI would
be to use the Wealth of material available in XI from its forums, weblogs, presentations ,etc.
Also, I would suggest this link on SAP help for any info that you want on XI,

Hi hari,
I am not sure if a list of all transactions is available. But these are a list of few, you will use frequently.
1. SXMB_MONI -- Monitoring for processed XML messages.
2. SXMB_IFR -- To start your XI home page.
3. ALRTCATDEF -- To define Alerts
4. SXI_CACHE - To view your BPm status
5. We19 -- To trigger IDOCs for Test
6. we 20 -- Partner profile
7. sm 59 -- To define RFC destination
8. Sm 58 - log of your transactional RFC
9. IDX1 -- To create ports
10. IDX2 -- to import IDOC meta data.
The list is exhaustive, but these are a few essential ones.
Just go through this link for any further help on XI documents,
Regards,
Bhavesh
