Dear Experts,

My client receives the schedule from the customer which consist firm schedule & tentative schedule.Firm schedule is passed to Production dept. Tentative schedule is passed to Procurement dept.

How to differentiate both the schedules in SAP & how to map this.Looking for valuable inputs.........

Thanks,

Dear Murali

May be you can try out with this.

Whatever the quantities are confirmed, the same can be uploaded in MD61 which will be treated as confirmed schedule and the same will be reflecting in MD04.

Whatever the quantities customer is giving as tentative, the same can be uploaded in MC87, where you need to maintain with Version and this will not be passed on to MD04 which means, production will not be taken up for these requirements.

Once the customer confirms the requirement of MC87, you can transfer those requirements via MC74, where again you have to key in the Version number which you have maintained in MC87 so that the quantities will now be confirmed and passed on to production planning.

Will think of and update in case any other better solution struck my mind.

thanks
