Problem with alert category variables

Hi All

I am defining an alert category. In the Long text, i am using the variables &SXMS_FROM_SERVICE& and &SXMS_TO_SERVICE& to pass from and to services in the alert. But, i dont see the names of from and to services in the email which is sent out. I get all the remaining text in the email except the service names.

Is there anything else i need to do for this to work?

just guess: Do you use that variables for alerts from BPM? That doesnt work...
