SAP EP 404 Error

Hi,

when we try to login to Portal System using URL (http://host:port/irj/portal) we are getting below error:

Service cannot be reached

What has happened?

URL http://Host:Port/irj/portal call was terminated because the corresponding service is not available.

Note

The termination occurred in system D27 with error code 404 and for the reason Not found.

The selected virtual host was 0 .

What can I do?

Please select a valid URL.

If you do not yet have a user ID, contact your system administrator.

ErrorCode:ICF-NF-http-c:000-u:SAPSYS-l:E-i:SAPR3001_D27_27-v:0-s:404-r:Notfound

Please note that "D27" is the system number of our BI 7.0 system. and i dont understand why the BI system number is dispalyed in error .....when we try to call portal link

can anyone help ...to rectify ...this issue....

Make sure the "host" you enter above does resolve to the correct IP. It seems it resolves to the BI system instead.

The host entered is absolutly SAP EP Host

I don´t doubt that it should be the host - but is your name resolution working?

open a cmd.exe and enter

nslookup

does it come back with the correct IP?

Also check your IE proxy settings.

we have done two settings at server level in this week and

restarted the system in the week end...

1)Setting for BEx Web ...Using the below link:

2)Also there was another activity at Server level...which is

configuration on iSeries side for it to have capability of running SFTP

server using OpenSSH

This settings were done at Server where my EP Dev server and EP QA

server sits...

I wanna check whether any of the above settings are causing the

issue...

Another important point is that iam not able to login to portal using HTTP Ports in the URL......but iam able to log in to portal using HTTPS Ports ...in both systems ( Dev and QA)

I.e My actual Portal Link is

:http://Host:51700/irj/portal ( HTTP)

After the above activities iam able to login to portal using

:https://Host:51701/irj/portal ( HTTPS)
