Hi Harish,

You can use Business Add-In BBP_PGRP_FIND to implement determination of the responsible purchasing groups yourself in SAP Markets Enterprise Buyer. When you activate this BAdI, the Enterprise Buyer standard determination is deactivated in all applications.

Note that your changes will affect the following EBP functions:

Shopping cart: The purchasing group is determined using the item data and the user. In the standard functionality, product and organizational responsibility is taken into account.

External requirements: The item data is used to determine the purchasing groups with product responsibility.

Integrated catalog: The responsible purchasing organization is determined and the relevant contracts are found via the user and the product category.

Eg: If the SC is created from catalog then you want to set a particular purchasing group and purchasing organisation. When the SC is created from a decsribe requirement then you want to set a different purchasing group and organization.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Pradeep

Adding to Pradeep,

In standard SRM, PGrp is determined based on the product category & organizational responsibility, which sometimes does not meet the business requirement.

For example: Client with already on ECC-MM. In MM, Material Master has the PGroup information in purchasing view, it might be difficult to fit these information into the combination of PCat & Org responsibilty for the use in SRM. Client requirement can be to use the PGrp info from ECC MARC- EKGRP for the material masters & use the standard purchasing group determination logic for free text items.

Hope this helps.

Thanks
