Recovery of Original Deleted from DIR

Hello DMS Experts

I am unable to retrival of Original file deleted form SAP DIR.

I have opened a Document DIR and deleted Original file which was saved on content server and saved the DIR. now is there any way to retrival of that original file which is deleted.

Please let me know if any procedure is there to retrival of original in such cases

Hi Rupa,

from my point of view the only way to restore this file is to use a former backup for your Content Server files. Because when you delete an original in CV02N for example then the file is also removed on the content server side.

Hello Chirstoph and Rupa,

Where are you guyz with this question. I'm exploring the same waters right now and happened to look at this posting. Just wanted to add my 2 cents: As far as I know the file is not deleted from the content server till you run the report to delete it completely from CS.

On the other hand I'm yet to figure out how to retrieve the file with out performing complex operations on the Content server itself.
