Dumps with SNAP_NO_NEW_ENTRY everywhere (MS SQL)

Hi,

shortdump caused by SNAP table. I cannot execute any transaction in the GUI anymore, so I have to solve it in the database.

Who can help me with a query to reorganize the table in the database (MS SQL) using the Management Studio or Query Analyser?

Or is it also possible to delete the table in the database, and then re-create it via the Gui functions (SE11 etc)?

(I'm aware of the standard reorganization job, but I don't think it runs now we have this issue)

Regards, Toine.

You'll get the dump at logon... but that won't stop you from typing a transaction in the toolbar.. so go to SE38 and run program RSSNAPDL. That should make space on the SNAP table.

You need to schedule the SAP housekeeping jobs in order to avoid this and other problems in the near future, see SAP Note 16083

Hi,

I can start SE38, but when I press Execute, it dumps again.

Hi,

nice idea, but no, it still dumps.

I guess we have to work from the database side, not via the gui.

Hi,

This also happen if the transaction log of the db is full.

Also you can try ST22 --> Go to --> Reorganise.

the database log was full, that seemed to be the cause.

Hai,

Check SAP Note: 159316 for reorganising in SQL.
