Repository loading problem

Hello Guys

When I load the repository as immediate, it changes from load state to unload state immediately without giving any error messages

I checked and verified the repository but the repository doesn't get loaded.I see the following in the detail report

Location: C:\PROGRA1\SAPMDM1.5\Server\Reports\Verify Check @ GCMDM @ SQL_Server@ Products_na@ U @ 090130 @ 174359.xml

Looking forward to see the solution for above problem.

Well ! The only workaround was to create the repository from the scratch. As any solution of you guys did not solve my problem

Hi,

Just try to fix the fatal errors and tell your basis to restart the listner and other services which is connected with MDM.

Hope it may help.

Hi Nazeer,

Mostly this kind of an issue gets resolved by:

- Restarting your system on which MDM console is installed.

- Checking your MDM repository for any errors or warnings and fix the same. What was the message you received when you were verified the rep? Did it resolved all the fatal errors or failed to do it?

- Try loading the repository with update indices. instead of immediate. This will make sure your schema changes if any are taken into account while loading the rep.For any fatal errors you will hav eto mnaully rectify the rep.

Hope It Helped

Thanks & Regards

Hi Nazeer,

To add up to Jitesh & Ravi's inputs, the repository does not get

loaded even if there are any phyiscal errors on the repository like

if the Table which has been referenced from a field has been deleted.

These physical errors will not be repaired automatically when you run

the Repair option.

Hi Nazeer,

Just a guess, it could be the problem with one of the url or schema that you have defined.

Please check the same and if possible try deleting it and then load the repository.

Hope it helps.

Hi Nazeer,

This happens due to problems like:

1. Not enough memory available to load the repository - in such case unload few repositories running on the server and then try to load the desired repository. You can get the exact error message from the Logs available as a Child of MDM Server under server section.

Also try reducing the value of Number of Rows Per fetch parameter present in MDS.ini file under the repository section and restart the MDM Server.

2. Errors in the repository - Check the repository for Errors using Verify -> Check / Repair option and check the error details.

Hi Nazeer

You can see the report for the repository in console and look for error messages. Also at server level you can also access the server logs from Console which contains all error messages.

To start with you can also try to verify the repository first and then repair if errors are coming in report. Then if required compact the repository and load again.
