Allocating XI volumes to areas of the business ?

Hi,

Considering a shared SAP XI system as the EAI hub that connects different SAP and legacy systems in our organization, we would need a simple way to distribute costs related to the XI system to those areas of the business that actually generate the load/volumes.

Does anyone have experience with this ?

How can something like this be set-up ?

Hi Johan,

did you have a look at the performance monitoring in runtime workbench? There you can filter on sender or receiver service, interface, and namespace. It will show you aggregated information on the number of messages being processed within the timeframe and also of the message size in bytes (throughput). I think, that would be a valid measure for charging business areas. Business areas sending a lot of messages or generating a lot of throughput should be charged more than other sending less. As far as i know, SAP is charging some adapters in that way as well, so you could pass that cost along.
