Problem while importing xml file generated thru mdm_clnt_extr

Former Member

Changes in Customer master records are obtained into inbound of mdm thru executing mdm_clnt_extr.

But MDM Import server is not able to pick up that generated xml file.

When i do pick that file manually thru import manager the file is getting imported,But it is not getting imported automatically by import server.

Can anyone resolve it.

Hi Shifali,

Please configure the MDIS file as mentioned.

Please restart the Import server, make it automatic in the

sevices,msc file.

Hi Shifali,

In the mdis, under the [Global] section, please check the parameter u201C interval u201D.

Also, check the below parameters in it:

Password

Chunk size

No. of chunks processed

Thanks,

Priti.

Hi Shifali,

There could be two possible reasons for your Import file faililng to import automatically:

- The MDIS settings for automtic importing

- Errors during automatic import.

Once your file is placed in the inbound ready folder and all the required seetings are done for enbaling automatic import. The input source file gets imported into MDM automatically after the defined interval.

Make sure you have done all the necessary settings correctly.Kindly refer the below link for the same:

https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/8973bcaf-0801-0010-b7a7-f6af6b1d... import and syndication server)

You can refer the below path for teh MDIS settings:

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_mdm550/helpdata/en/43/12036df94c3e92e10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm (Automatic importing MDIS - Import manager ref guide>MDM import server(MDIS)>MDIS Consfiguration)

The only other reason could be that your file has exception due to which it does not get imported into MDM rather moves in to the Exception folder.

You need to analyse your source and maps to find for this reason of failure:

Hope It Helped

Hi Shifali,

If your Admin user has password associated with it, then you need to mention the same in MDIS.ini file in your repository section for the field PasswordE.

Remove the 'E' and give the Admin password, restart the Import Server and check the entry again, it should get converted to PasswordE with some encrypted text. Now try to run the scenario again.
