SQL2008 Transparent Data Encryption TDE

I am interested in finding out if anyone is using the Transparent Data Encryption that SQL2008 is capable of. I would like to know how well it works with SAP 2004s. We are looking into upgrading our current landscape from 64BIT SQL2005 to 64BIT SQL2008.

I have an answer from SAP on SQL 2008 TDE --- They DO support it.

Hi Carl,

to my knowlegde TDE for MS SQL 2008 is not supported for use with SAP.

Thanks Lars,

I had assumed the they would be ok with TDE since they have certified SQL 2008 for SAP now. We will confirm with SAP.
