I suspect the language-specific forums are for countries where the knowledge of the English language is insufficient to participate in the forums in English. For all the others there's the advantage of reaching colleagues from all over the world.

Blame the German school system

How about Dutch and French, that might bring the Belgians together

I used to work in Brussels for a while, the Dutch/Flemish speaking population would speak English very well, whereas the French speaking folks were very reluctant about it.

At the barber shop I always asked for the Flemish lady so I could communicate (she was better looking as well...)

Thomas

P.S. yes it was just a barber shop

And yet, you felt the need to justify/reassure yourself

Hello together,

i think it would be helpful for SAP-beginners, to have a forum in his own language.

what do you think about?

I disagree. With English forums I can reach a way bigger audience, both for solving my own problems and improving knowledge by helping others. If I were to limit myself to Dutch I would not find as many answers as in a worldwide forum.

There is a German usenet newsgroup called de.alt.comp.sap-r3

Hi Thomas,

>Why isn't there a Dutch or French forum then?

Because it is a well known fact that , we, French people are all fluent in English !

I can't speak for Dutch people !

Maybe it's because a lot of Countries speaks Spanish...And Brazil is a very big country...

Most Spanish speakers got no or too little knowledge of English...That's why a small forum for them is needed...

Greetings,

Blag.
