Problem while installing Dialog instance

hi all

I am facing problem while installing Dialog instance.

Its giving below error

As we have already install CI and DB on PERECDB3850 host.

ERROR 2009-01-29 15:38:42

FSL-02015 Node
PERECDB3850/sapmnt/ does not exist.

MOS-01082 File system node
PERECDB3850\sapmnt\ with type DIRECTORY does not exist.

Hai,

Check whether the filesystem PERECDB3850/sapmnt/ is exsisting or not, then check the permissions and also it should be shared.

on host PERECDB3850 there is \usr\sap folder and sap folder is shared.

shared as what?.... seems like its not shared as sapmnt. Whats OS are you using?

Directories /usr/sap needs to be shared as sapmnt and saploc before the installation begins. That should fix this particular problem.

Its already shared.

Also from dialog instance if we goto start-> run and enter
PERECDB3850 we are getting that both sapmnt and saploc folders.

Also, check that the user has local admin rights as could be a permissions issue.

Yes its F:\usr\sap is correct.

Check the SAPMNT share again and make sure that under Permissions is set to 'Full Control'

You need to configure sapmnt share before proceding with installation, basically sapmnt is a share/softlink (depending on OS) of directory /usr/sap. Also, in a dialog instance usully /sapmnt/<SID> is mounted from the CI (depending if its a homogeneous or heterogeneous environment).

This info is described in detail in the installation guide so please follow all the pre-installations steps before attemping to run the installation again.
