Installation guide of SAP GUI for JAVA

Hi Experts,

I have ECC6.0 IDES with ABAP+JAVA. Currently I have SAP GUI for Windows installed on my machine.

Now I want to install the SAP GUI for JAVA also.

1. Where can I have the installation guide of SAP GUI for JAVA

2. As I have GUI for Windows installed on my machine, will the installation of GUI for Java cause any conflict?

3.Please let me know the difference /utility of the two.

Hi,

I downloaded the SAP GUI for JAVA installation package and tried to start the installation.But when I am double clicking on the jar file for my platform, I am getting an error message "Could not find the main class.Program will exit."

Please let me know if any prerequisites to be checked before starting the installation.

Hello,

on the page mentioned before, there is a section "Installation", where a zipped manual can be downloaded. It includes supported Java versions per platform and other prerequisites as well as how to invoke the installer.
