Hello, all
My project will install SCM 5.1, using DP and PP/DS modules.
I'd like to know the criteria to judge whether LiveCache should be installed or not.
That is,
Should we decide on the basis of data volume to be manipulated in SCM,
or
on the basis of the modules to be used in SCM ?
If we should decide on the modules to be used, should we install the LiveCache in this case?
And we may use only DP module. How about this case ?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Regards,
Thank you for your replies.
I understand what the livecache is.

Hi,
I agree with Alexander. You have no choice. APO cannot work with out livecache. The size of live cache can be determined using the quicksizer (http://service.sap.com/quicksizer) depending on your parameters.

Hi Hideki Kozai,
Livecache is special type of memory device specifically designed only for operating APO tool. It has got tremendous potential in terms of storing and retreiving data at a fastest rate when compared to normal database structures.
Hence installation is a must for APO modules.

Hi,
