SAP System change

Former Member
0 Kudos

Currently I have 20 Interfaces in my DEV box.All are SAP to XI to File scenarios.

SAP system name is ABC and client number is 100.

Now requirement got changed, and I have to use SAP System DEF client number 125.

I need to change all configuration objects from ABC System to DEF System which is a hectic process.

Is there any other way to achieve this?

Thanks

I haven't tried it but I guess with trasnport you may achieve this. Export ID components and delete objects in ID. Then define transport target in SLD with two groups Dev1 and Dev2. There you may specify the source BS and target BS name. The related integration server name would be same in this case. (Dev XI). After this, import the ID objects again in ID. After this certain communication channels will have to be set.

Hi,

@Prateek

for the approach you suggested you need to have at least two XI systems

in SLD I believe as you won't be able to create two groups with the same (DEV) XI - but I might be wrong

@Naresh

you can create new business system and copy all communication channels from the old one - 10 mins for > 40 channels

then if you did your configuration correctly in IR - using business scenarios

you can just download those scenarios again and just generate them

assigning those copied channels

for 20 interfaces it's around 30 mins I'd say

so you should be ready in one hour - that is not a lot I guess
