app server (dialog instance) installation - documentation

hi there - does anyone have any documentation for installing a new application server instance (SAP dialog instance) into an existing SAP system? i'm looking from a Basis perspective for a doc that shows all the needed steps. preferably for UX platform on Oracle database.

i realize SAPINST can be used to install just a dialog instance somewhere, but i was looking for some documentation on all the needed steps.

plz tell me how to install dialog instance in windows platform in 2003 64-bit

Not sure about UX Platform, but i think process should be the same

1.Prepare the OS

2.Install the Java runtime environemnt

3.Configure the network as well as entry should be in host file

4.Mount the /sapmnt on to Application server from CI

5.Dump the installation master media into application Server

6.Start the installation master and follow the instruction

I am also looking for the SAP documentation...

I installed an additional Portal dialog server on a seperate host. However the new node does not have all the apps deployed. The apps can be seen in Visual Administrator but for some reason the apps dont work when the new host is used.

I compared the working directory structures from HostA and HostB. They do not match...

(EX: C:\usr\sap\NPQ\J00\j2ee\cluster\server0)

This tells me that the new node is not getting the configuration from the Database.

Is there a post processing step to get these apps deployed from the DB? How do I get this new node working?
