Hi ,

Did you deploying your local server or any other client server I mean to asking you.

If it is not a local server you need to add your ip address into your Host file then it works.

I understood your problem ...if U got this problem after giving sdm password ? yes ?

Try this.

Ottherwise check your local portal is up or not.

Thanks

Hi John,

Check the following

Is the server up

Is j2ee engine configured in your NDS under windows->preferences->j2ee engine

In the j2ee engine view are the nodes green

are you giving the proper SDM password

Hello Rohit,

I have checked everything you have specified and all of it is correct, is there something that I may be overlooking. I would be glad if you could suggest any thing else.

Best Wishes,

Hi,

For deploying webdynpro application the Message Server port should be 3601, which is different from SDM server port(50018). If this is already done, try changing this to 3631.

Finally, check SAP note no:756084.

Hi John

U have to configure the SAP J2EE engine config in windows->prefernces->SAP J2EE engine.

Now name of the server: give the name of the server u want to deploy or its ip address

Port : will (36*100) +SCS instance no. of the server

if ur server is something like this:

servername:500<port no.> then in most cases

SCS instance is port no.+01/02/03

Try this and u can open view

windows->show view->other->J2EE-> J2EE engine

if its all correct than u can see the J2EE engine with whole of the instance being green.

I hope it helps you

Thanks
