hi,

1. if you want to send mail to gmail this is possible and works of course

2. but if you want to use gmail account to send emails from XI then it's not possible (with gmail address as sender)

BTW

if 1 does not work then check your firewall between XI and internet

Hi Michael,

thanks for the reply. Been reading your blogs and they have been really useful.

Im using XI to send email to gmail.

Transport Protocol used is SMTP

URL used is smtp.gmail.com:465

User Authentication method is Plain

Is the above correct?

Hi,

you could try it without the port:

> smtp.gmail.com

This blog might be useful:

Check this out:

At the time, I had problems with mismatch between SSL 3.0 (which mail adapter implements) and TLS 1.0 (which gmail requires).

Hi,

thanks for all the replies,

I looking at the audit log of the RWB and i see an error entry

"Mail: Configuration error: Channel 9a4c459e11c1343b969f55e8fdcdf7b1is not configured for XIMailAdapter"

I not sure what the above means.
