Hi Manu,

Since your QAS server is already installed, I assume that you dont have sufficient downtime for exporting your production system. So still you can do system copy with the help of backup and restore. Since it is oracle 10, You simply take backup and restore on QAS server and recreate control file with new SID. If you also have J2EE engine you need to additional configuration changes to start j2ee engine. I seen one oss note which describes all changes required and you can search your self.

Thanks,

Kiran.

I think he does that because he has no valid S-User ID to get that document...

if this is the case, maybe he should be banned from SDN?

This can be easily searched. There is no doubt about that.

But if Manu and his company doesn't have any access (directly or indirectly) to an S-account, then where did he install the SAP system from?

@ Manu: Can you please explain to us what is going on there on your side?

Cheers,

Julius

You wouldn´t have needed to install the system first completely.

Check the system copy guides at

Yes - you can use that as a source for the target system copy. If you would read the guide I mentioned you could find out how.
