Batch job cancelled after system exception ERROR_MESSAGE ?

Hi All,

Job cancelled after system exception ERROR_MESSAGE. No logs or dumps created for the job ( SM21, ST22). Please advise on how to analyze this error further?

HI

This is a common/famous error. There could be multiple reasons. Please check SM21 again. You should see some clue. Also, check trace files at OS level.

Hi,

It means that in program, a MESSAGE statement executed .

Type : E , X ,A or WARNING (Type W ) causes this problem.

If you have a message statement with types : E-A-X-W then change messages to type S the problem will solve. otherwise job will be cancelled with an ERROR_MESSAGE.

Hai,

This seems to be the problem in the functional side, take a help of an Finance consultant.

He will be able to find what is missing. I guess something to do with GL accounts and costing.
