CBS through error

Former Member

Dear Experts,

I have installed the DI components through JSPM and now configuring the NWDI.

Starting with /devinf > CMS> created the domain and now creating track...while saving I get the following error..

CBS (URL http://sapdev:51000/tc.CBS.Appl/archiveapi2/) communication exception: Build Server request failed without CBS specific error code. HTTP status: 404 (Not Found)

Also found that while I select the SC like SAP_ESS, SAP_MSS, SAPPCUI, SAP_ARS. the components I select are inactive( in grey). and the required SC no. is 27.

Also check http://sapdev:51000/tc.CBS.Appl/archiveapi2 , but some servlet error.

I have done with user creation with the help of some note and also in VAServices> security provider ..done..

but in VA--> CBS, the java home and jdk path set by me is /usr/java( taken from env. The same I used while installing SAP)

Am I missing something which is not done for CBS?

Regards

Prash

I had been to the following thread

and in that sandeep has mentioned that we could get rid of this "

"In SDM when we chose "tc.CBS.API" from SDM -->>>SapJ2EEEngin, it did pick up all the "reference components" from for DI "

So should I select tc.CBS.API and try. I have select tc.CBS.APLL and not API while undeploying?

Any suggestions by experts?

Hello,

please check if you can access the CBS

(http://sapdev:51000/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tc.CBS.WebUI/WebUI) and DTR

(http://sapdev:51000/dtr) with the user you have entered in the domain configuration as "CMS User".

Also, did you make sure you deployed all three Apps - CMS - DTR- and CBS?

You can check at http://sapdev:51000/sap/monitoring/ComponentInfo.

You should see in the list of Software Components DI_CBS, DI_CMS & DI_DTR.

The versions shall be the same as all te other ones in the list.

Also I have deployed the DI after the ECC installation through JSPM.

Now do I need to remove SP14 for DTR and CBS because while installing CMS SP14, I found some error which might be due to my EP SP 09??

and http://sapdev:51000/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tc.CBS.WebUI/WebUI

shows me the GUI, but nothing in it. Its blank?

Please suggest what course of action should I take?

Hi,

I am surpised that works at all

Your Versions are all over the place. Just download and apply SP15 or higher since SP15 would be the next package you would be abel to patch to on the two DI comps.

Remember that (as in ABAP) the first thing you do is to update the JSPM itself.

Regards,

Andi

P.S. This is the Version extract from one of our NWDI's:

Hi Andreas,

I have undeployed the DI components and will try to add DI SP 10.

Regarding the ugrade to SP15 for all the components as mentioned by you, do I have to download all individually 1 by 1?

How do we update the Portal patch. Does it includes all those ?

For now, since all my comp., are on SP9, and to make DI running, I am going to deploy SP10 for DI.

Any suggestions are welcomed!!

Hello,

no - if your engine is (as it is) on Sp9 you have to deploy NWDI SP09, it always has to be the same Version as the J2EE Engine.

You can either download the patches one-by one or use a Support Package Stack which will give you everything

Hi Andreas,

Thanks for the information.

But with SP09 which I have, I have deployed ESS 10 and PCUI 13 and both of these are working fine.

Then what is the issue with NWDI only( is there any dependency on versions?)

I will download SP09 of DI and will deploy it? and then try with the configuration.

Also would like to ask you about the template for nwdi? will it gets installed by default or should I have to do something else for it? Because lots of guys here told about the template, which needs to be configured first, but I never found it?

Your view?

Just to update you

http://sapdev:51000/sap/monitoring/ComponentInfo

Does not show any DI components

but http://sapdev:51000/utl/UsageTypesInfo shows

SAP NetWeaver 2004s/SR2 AS AS Java Application Server Java Thu Aug 07 00:00:00 AST 2008 YES

SAP NetWeaver 2004s/SR2 DI DI Development Infrastructure Fri Jan 23 00:00:00 AST 2009 NO

how come still the DI is visible here. I have removed the DI from SDM?

I asume that its not cleaned up properly. I wouldnt worry too much about it.

You can see (and theoretically delete) them in the offline config tool under the CTC node.

I have downloaded the SP09 for DI( CMS, DTR, CBS) and copied on /EPS/in folder and through JSPM trying to deploy. But while select all the options in JSPM it does not read for those DI?

I have JSPM 12. Have checked the Deployed components in JSPM and found the one with SP14 for DI, which I removed.

I found the following

In Netweaver node I could see

sap.com/DI

sap.com/DI_CBS

- sap.com/tc.CBS.DBDefs

sap.com/DI_CMS

- sap.com/tc/SL/CMS/PCS/DBSchema

sap.com/DI_DTR

- sap.com/tc/dtr/dbschema

Any suggestion as how do I remove and deploy SP09?
