Deployment-Permissions only for Developers

Hello!

I have installed WAS 6.40 for Linux.

After Installing Web Development Studio i found out, that everybody on network, who has installed it, can deploy s.th.

How can I set permissions for that? Which kind of roles/profiles should I use?

I don't think that there is deployment role.

All the deployments are done trough the SDM account.

If you use one and the same server for distributed development (many people deploy on it) than you should use NWDI, and configure this server as DEV runtime system.

Otherwise every developer should have local WebAS server, and they can do whatever they want on this server.

Hi,

I really dont think SDM deployment is governed by Roles/Profiles. you can change the password and provide the password only to the developers.
