Hello,
we are currently in the situation having two NWDIs installed on old hardware. We purchased new hardware to consolidate the two existing systems into the new one. We have to migrate the tracks from the old NWDIs to the new NWDI.
Is there a guide or best practise how this should be done?
Does anybody have experience in doing this? Do I have to be aware of some things?
How should I proceed?
Thanks for your answers,
Kai
Thank you a lot for your hints and advices.
But my problem is that I want to consolidate two existing NWDIs onto one new (company-wide) NWDI. There I have to move all tracks with the DTR onto the new NWDI. The system copy will work with one existing but not with two. I can't integrate them into one.
Any advices?
Regards,
Kai

Hi,
I would detach DB, copy the DB files to the new box, move the USR directory to the new box, create the registry key, attach DB (you need that Note to create the DB users tough). You should keep the hostname the same, makes it easier
With a bit of luck it should be all done in two hours.

Andi

I believe there's a SAP note that details the procedure.
