Hi,
If you are using text file then follow the steps as
1.Open Import manager.Select repository.enter username &password
2.Select Type as Delimited text.
3.Enter the source file .
4)Enter the delimiter (eg:space,:,; etc)
5.Select the source and destination table.
6.Map the corresponding source and destination fields.
7.Then go to match records tab select the field as per which the records will b imported.
8.Go to File-Save.Enter the map name.
9.Execute the import.
Next time you want to edit the map or execute the same goto file-Open-map name.

Hi Srihari,
If you are using the MDM business partner Standard repository archieve. Then you will also get along with it its Import maps which can be used.
However these import maps will work only with the standad delivered XSD and with the XML as the source file.
If the fields mappings are direct for the Main and lookup tables then, there shouldnt be much difficulty in mapping.
However if there are nested lookup and more complex mapping. Then it is recommented you go for XML importing.
The business partner source can easily be extracted from the SAP ERP system and be used in MDM importing using the std XML schemas.
Hope It Helped

Hi Sri,
See this document
Basically you can import excel by mapping source file structure with destination(Repository) structure.
If you have the same names and all, you can just auto map them. All the tabs are intuisive on the import server.
Thanks,
Karan
