WebDynpro Islands

Hi everyone,

i'm little confused about enablement of WebDynpro Islands.

We have an ECC 6.0 and the Basis-Guys say it's on EHP 3.

But i can't get the mime-objects and i can't "Swap the Root Element", so i think WD Islands are not enabled.

System->Status says some Components are on level 603 -> EHP 3

but SAP_BASIS and SAP_ABA are still on 700 SP 15. Is this the problem?

What else do i need to tell my Basis-Friends to do, that i can enjoy WD Islands?

The FlashIslands functionality is delivered with NetWeaver Enhancement Package 1. NetWeaver Enhancement Packages and ERP Enhancement Packages are completely separate things with different release numbering. You will get NetWeaver Enhancement Package 1 when you apply ERP Enhancement Package 4. So I'm afraid your system is not at the correct EnhP level yet.

can I get the NetWeaver EHP 1 also without upgrading ECC to EHP4?

When we have NW EHP 1, the components e.g. SAP_BASIS and SAP_ABA are then on 701 ?

No. You must install ERP Enhp4 in order to get NetWeaver Enhp1 on ERP. You don't have to activate anything in the Enhp4 however to get the new functionality in NetWeaver EnhP1.
