Problem while printing (also in batch)

Hello.

I have the option in the printer dialog to press "preview" and "print immediately".

The preview option brings success, but the immediately "print" is not working. While processing it's opening SAPLPF.LOG window, where following failure is written:

(10:09:46) SAPLPD Version 6.28 für Windows/NT (OPT) wartet auf Druckaufträge.
(10:09:46) BS-Info: version = 6.0, build = 0/6001, text = Service Pack 1

Anybody knows the problem?

Not so important, but how can I print in background (batch)?

Best regards

Do you try to print to your local printer? In that case, this is not supported for adobe forms generated by SAP, there is a note about that, and also sap library explains it. You'll find this topic also in the forum. I'm surprised that preview works btw.

What device type do you use?

thx for your helpful answer.

under device-class I have now entered "Standard printer" and the other settings you wrote me.

Now, no SAPLPD window popups and no error message appear.

There is also inserted a spoolnumber.

Perhaps anybody can tell me, how I can realise that now the windows-standard-printer-dialog with my local printersettings pops up and I can print on paper

I have created a new printer names "ZPDF". Devicetype = PDF1 ISO Latin1

And I haven't chosen my local printer...

Perhaps the problem is, that I have taken for ZPDF-printer Host-Printer: PRT2FILE

Host-Spool-Access-Method: F:printing on Frontend Computer

???

My ZPDF1 printer (spool is generated but no physical printer is attached) is configured this way :

- Device attributes:

-- device type = PDF1 iso latin-1 4.6D+

-- spool server = r4phsap001_DEV_00

-- host = r4phsap001

- Access method:

-- method = L local print via LP/LPR

-- host printer = __DEFAULT

-- host name = r4phsap001
