How to Hover Menu for detailed Navigation as a top menu in a new window

Hi All,

I have a requirement to display detail navigation as a Hover menu, I have serached in SDN but could find the way for Top level menu but its different for my query.

In our Portal we have reports, when we click on a node in detailed navigation a new window is poped up with the report, now the requirement is in that poped window we need to display the detailed navigation as top menu in Hover style only in this poped window.

The menu should inherit default portal theme.

We need to add a new link after this detailed navigation menu especially for the poped window only.

If there is no direct solution please suggest how to read and loop with in Detailed navigation & how to implement javascript / CSS Hover menu.

Can somebody help me in this,

Thanks for your reply, I got an Idea but as said we need Detailed navigation as the top menu in the new poped window.

can you suggest my below approach does work or not.

Step 1) What ever the iView being used by the Report we will get the .PAR file for that.

Step 2) Import the PAR file into NWDS.

Step 3) From the link you provided we will add CSS, Header.jsp etc.

Step 4) In header.jsp instead of check for the TLN we will find out a way to query DLN.

Step 5) upload this .PAR file into portals as a new iView.

Step 6) use this iView for all the reports.

Does this work, is it meaningful.

You help is much appriciated in this aspect.

Hi Anup,

For initial scenario I modified URL iview with the required JSPs and uploaded onto EP, but could not find the way to host google page in this modified par file.

Can you please suggest how can I acheive this .?
