Hi,

I have some problems with the MaxDB, so my Database instance service is not starting. So now i want to Un-installl the MaxDB without statrting DB Server.

If i try to un-install the MaxDB, It is asking me the DBA ID and PWD, but Server is not started so it's not able to drop the database.

Please help me to completely un-install or Remove the MaxDB from my PC Completely by forcefullly also.

Thanks in Advance

Vijay

Hello Vijay,

-> Are you SAP customer?

-> What is the version of the database?

-> You could drop the database, when it's in offline status.

Do you know the database users/passwords?

-> "Server is not started". You need to restart the server, where the database software installed, then drop the database instance, after that uninstall the database software. Reboot the server.

-> http://maxdb.sap.com/documentation/ -> MAXDB library -> InstAllation -> Installation Manual

-> Installation, Upgrade and Uninstallation on the Command Line

Hi Natalia,

Yes, I try to do that same but my server always showing as "Starting.." in Administative services of Control panal. it never ended.After I enter the USer name and Password then immediately it is saying that as

Could not start DBMS Server

Shared memory not avilable

Could not clearn up the DBM Shared memory....

So I am not able to any operation until the server is up. Thats why i requested you to uninstall without starting the server.

Could you please provide me any alternative solution.

Thanks in Advance,

Warm Regards,

Vijay
