Hi Friends,
We want to create PO based on Sales order idoc (ORDERS05) in the same system. ie. File to IDoc first to create Sales Order in ECC 6,0 system. Once sales order created successfully, immediately PO should be created in the same system.
The requirement is like this. I am also little bit confused about this requirement. I think through different message type (create Z message type for PO) we can achive this. But, I am not clear.
Kindly help me to arrive a better solution.
Thanking you.
Kind Regards,
Jegathees P
Hi Michal,
Thanks for your reply. But, ORDSP is for Purchase Order/order confirmation. I am little bit confused again.
How once Sales Order is created automatically trigger the Purchase Order IDoc ?
Could you kindly brief in the XI Part?

hi,

exactly create SO (you know how with orders right?)
then the output ordrsp will be send to XI where you map to PORDCR1
(which creates PO) then send this idoc to ERP
and you have SO and PO based on this SO
or you can use VMI scenario with no XI and no mapping at all
as I mentioned (for VMI creating of PO from SO is a standard)

Hi,
this is pretty easy: once the SO get created you can create a message output ORDRSP which you can map to PORDCR1 which will create the PO
all in standard and none Z IDOCs - straight and simple
if you want to make it a little bit more sophisticated you can use
standard VMI scenario in which sales order output creates a purchase order automatically - then no mappings necessary at all
