Hi everybody,
could anybody explain what a gateway host is? What is the task of the gateway host? Is it aq dedicated server or just something logical?

Gateway Host is nothing but a router that serves as an entry point into and exit point out of a network.
To find this information on the Integration Server host, call transaction SMGW, choose Goto >Parameters > Display, and search for the entries for the gateway hostname and gateway service attributes.
