Role of SAP Basis System Administrator and SAP Basis Support Consultant

I am new to this forum. Pls let me know what is the role of a SAP Basis System Administrator and SAP Basis Support Consultant.

Is both have same job responsibilities?

Hi,

There is no generic answer : This depends from every SAP customer.

In my daily job, I am called sometimes

Consultant

Administrator

SAP Architect

System Engineer

etc...

How is this a technical issue?...

Anyhow a Basis Admin is usually an employee of the company running SAP, a Consultant is usually a contractor or someone hired for a particular project task.

Knowledge wise they are both Basis so only the experience and exposure can tell.
