WBS BOM and PS

What is a WBS BOM. Is it somehow linked to Project Systems WBS element.

There are two types of BOM basically material BOM & WBS BOM. A WBS BOm is a bill of material that, in addition to the material of the header material, is defined via a WBS element no. Therefore, for the same material no. you can create diff. bill of material that can be distinguised by diff. WBS nos.

Yes, it is linked to PS...WBS BOM is BOM which is used for a particular project....Suppose u have a BOM for a major assembly...and ur project requires some modification, say addition of material component and deletion of some component...instead modifying ur parent Material BOM, u can create WBS BOM copying the Material BOM and make changes in it....
