If one is to map a project with WBS elements and network activities. If there is a case where certain WBS element will be required to be planned with an overall cost with the activities assigned to it not requiring cost planning. Again the other WBS elements are such that are assigned with activities that would need cost planning. Then in such a case will it be ok to go ahead with Easy Cost Planning for the WBS elements requiring an overall costing and activity costing for the latter? In short can both Easy Cost Planning and acivity costing be utilised simultaneously.

As per my knowledege ECP & activity cost planning cannot be operated simultaneously.

Because both are different versions of palnning.

ie if you do planning in cj20n w.r.t WBS,network & activity the version will be V0

& If we do in ECP the vesion will be diffrent. because in ECP the costing is done w.r.t WBS only.

Suggest you to just use ECP on WBS.

Add cost of services,materials which ever you will plan on activities directly in ECP on WBS.

question - why would you assign activities to the WBS when you are not interested in cost planning, just use ecp on wbs
