Can you tell what it means with "it does not take the license"? Error message?

Why don't you just install the license again?

Because it not giving any error. But license show that check license after inport parmenent license.

So first i want to take backup of MLICHECK table . then drop MLICHECK table .After that I will install parmenent License.

Thanks

do whatever you want with MLICHECK, but it won`t be helpful at all because you use Netweaver 7.0.

Hello Manu,

I'm also working on automation of saplicense-installation after a systemcopy

I found out that there are 2 tables containing the license data. (SAPLIKEY and MLICHECK)

SAPLIKEY (new licenses)

- that's the new one => containing data for the new SAP-licenses.

- the table exists since release 700 (Netweaver 2004s)

- the table also exists in data dictionary, therefore it can be exported/imported with R3trans

(I did not try this, but my script is waiting for the next systemcopy)

- new licenses can not shown/installed with command line tool 'saplicense'

MLICHECK (old licenses)

- that's the old one => containing data for the old SAP-licenses.

- the table exists in all releases

- in upgraded rel. 700 systems, there can also be used old licenses

(the old license do not expired after upgrade, check button 'new/old license' in transaction slicense)

- there are no entries in data dictionary for the table, therefore it can not be exported with R3trans

- old licenses can be shown/installed with command line tool 'saplicense'

- could be exported with db specific tools (but I need a db-independent method)

regards

Sascha

MLICHECK table is only used from SAP BASIS/WEBAS 6.40 and below.

for SAP products running on Netweaver 7.0, table is named SAP_LIKEY.

check SAP note 130906 to get an idea on how to export and import table contents using R3TRANS.

also note that from Netweaver 7.0, you must import a license file, not like the old system where you would type a 20-character key.
