What to Export to Mirror a UME?

I have two servers installed with Web AS. What should I export from the server1 UME to server2 UME to ensure the two servers have a same setup(ie. same groups, roles, users, companies, etc)?

Hi John,

I propose you to install LDAP and to maintain all the users/groups centraly from the LDAP. All WebAS are connected to the LDAP, you don't need to maintain local groups,users, but only the roles.

Also very suitable if you have NWDI, where SLD is required.

LDAP should save you much time in the future if you need to maintian many WebAS installations.

we have used the User data export and import, am not certain if the user-role mapping will also be maintained. refer to the links below.

If I export those Roles, Groups & Users to my mirror server, do I need to reset the Administrator password using the super-user sap* since I didn't export the passwords along?

Hi,

The passwords are part of the User objects, so they should have been moved with the User data.
