MRP run in PS or PP in MTO scenario

Dear All,

Mention how to run MRP in MTO scenario of Project based Production industry.

run the MRP by PP or PS?

if we runs the mrp by ps then there will be problem for the material consumption

and if run the mrp by pp then mrp will be based on sales order, not by project name.

pls. suggest .....

mrp in MTO scenario should be PS based - best practice approach

run MRP after assigning material requirement to PS activity

this should create planned order to fulfill requirements

convert planned order to production order

material for production consumed in production order

finished or produced goods issued to PS activity for consumption
