Oracle patch upgrade

Dear All,

Currently in my one system, I have oracle 10.2.0.1.0. There is some problem with this release. So i want to upgrade this to Oracle 10.2.0.2 or 10.2.0.4. Can u tell me for this upgrade, what files i will require to download from service market place & what will be the procedure to upgrade this. My system is SOLMAN 7.0 sr2 on windows 2003 server.

Hi Ankit

Download Oracle 10g rel2 patch set4 from Service Market Place for your Windows version.

Then apply the patch set according to the instructions using OUI tool , which will upgrade your database.

It is only a patch set application and can happen easily.,

Can u give me the exact path from market palce where i should download the oracle patches with exact file name. I am dowloading oracle first time. My current oracle version is 10.2.0.1.0.

Hi Ankit,

You can do the database upgrade to 10.2.0.4.

The media is available in the following link.

service.sap.com->Downloads->database patches->Oracle->Oracle 10.2.0.4->Database RDBMS-> <OS Platform>

The above link will give you the oracle software for installation.
