How to ship PRT tools?

Hello Experts,

I am trying to use material type FHMI with view Production Resources/Tools maintained as a tool. I have read the instructions on help.sap.com on how to do this and it works fine

I have also attached it to a network activity as described in the documentation.

But what do I do next?

I need to be able to ship this tool to a external manifacturing site, but there is no reservation and I cannot see any demand for this in MD04 for this material.

I can see it in CF16, but thats all.

Can someone please enlighten me about how this is supposed to work?

Hi

Use of PRT in project (PS) has very limited scope. There is no much documentation on this topic as well from SAP. I doubt if you can able to get the requirments of PRT from project.

Please check the following document (page 22,23) which supports my opinion.

Thank you for your reply.

I have already read this documentation and it is on basis of this I posted the question here. I am dissapointed that not more functionality is described in any documentation, but the reason for this might be that there isn't more functionality available? (as you say)

Any other comments?
