smartform - translation in other language

Hi expert,

I want translate a smartform in other language.

I go in the se63 - section smartforms.

I put the name of my smartforms and I can see the list of text element ....

My text element are:

%TEXT1

%TEXT2

%TEXT3

%TEXT4

and inside of it there's:

%TEXT1 =

Poursuite N° &IS_S_DOSSIER-BETRNR&

Parvenu le &IS_S_DOSSIER-AUSGEST&

%TEXT2 =

Poursuite N° &IS_S_DOSSIER-BETRNR2&

Parvenu le &IS_S_DOSSIER-AUSGEST2&

etc etc...

How I can translate %TEXT1 , %TEXT2 etc etc ???

> change text into text element accordingly and activate your smartform

While using se63 transaction check your smartform is not open in change mode.

If smartform is open in change mode, changes are not reflected.

Go to SE63, from menu select transaltion --> ABAP objects --> other long texts

From pop-up select forms and styles, double click on smartform..

Now in new window, give your smartform name as object name, make sure you select your target language using F4 help. Click on edit.. now you will see a screen with split editor.. where sorce is shown in the top half and target text is shown in bottom half..

Other then text elements modify all the text to your corresponding language.

EX:

/E &%TEXT10& --> do not transalate this.. rest you can translate..

hi,

after u have entered the translate d text for for each text element you need to create a transport request.

For this v use RS_LXE_RECORD_TORDER. Execute this program and enter your target language and create the request the object type is SSF and execute it.In the transaction SE09 give the transport request number:

If i have text modules (not text elements) used inside smartforms u can translate them into other languages.

Goto se63->translation->other long texts->smartforms(SSF).

Now in the object name give ur text module name and specify source and target language, click edit and maintain transalation.

but one word of caution while translating the text module it doesnot ask for the cts number so make sure ur text module is included in cts or else open the text module inchange mode and press save it will ask for cts giveit and save activate.
