Hi All,
I am learning XI, i have a problem in IR i.e. when i am importing Software Component into IR i am geting an error message saying "Unable to read software component versions from System Landscape Directory "asrvr08:50800"". I didn't understand that why this message is coming. can anyone help me on this.

Hi naveen
Check authorisations for your USER.
Even if you have SAP_ALL Authorisation,you can't access the SLD.
SLD cannot be accessed by SAP_ALL authorisation.
Create your user as a copy of PISUPER...you will get full authorisation rights.
Then try to import SWC from IR....

when i am checking my user roles by navingating in the IR like Tools -> User roles -> Open
i found one role in that. but this role having access to include every thing from SWC and actions
but still i am getting the same error. can u please correct me if i am wrong and give u r suggestions to correct that error.
is there any procedure to check my authorizations.

Actually i am login using the user PISUPER only but still i am getting the same error.
Even i didn't get my TS & BS systems into the Integration Directoty. and also in Runtime workbench when i am clicking the Componenet monitoring -> selected the display all, i get the following error "Error during communication with System Landscape Directory: HTTP response code: 403 (Forbidden)"
please help me ASAP.

As said above, run tcode SLDCHECK to know if SLD is workin fine, sceondly go through this link and create your SWC as mentioned.

Kindly Check Out
1) whether the SWC exists In SLD
2) CLear SLD cache
3) Perform SLD Check
& then Try Importing the SWC

Just run transaction SLDCHECK in your XI system and check all the destination are working /green status
